I think that NightProwler's biggest problem is that he likes to take cars that are built to be thrashed upon and take them to their limits. >=9 For reasons such as that, the older Fords, Chevys, etc, are ideal. Parts are cheap, and it's easy to worm around in all the nice large space to repair/replace said parts. Plus, mechanical workings are easier to troubleshoot than electronic systems, although the performance of the new little high performance [I call them "mini-rods"] cars says all that needs to be said. A friend of mine owns a `89 Nissan 240SX, and it was the nicest car I've ever driven to learn clutch. I like it slightly better than Grant's Hyundai, but then the 240SX is a sports coupe, and the Hyundai is a Scoupe. Also, Steve had been driving a large, American gas guzzler before he decided to get a new car [in `89!]. :) [He test drove a lot of the economy and sports cars, and liked the way the 240SX handled, so the rest, as they say . . . :) ]

I prefer the older cars myself. It is to expensive to have the new ones worked on. I prefer to be able to do the work myself.
DARTH PUPPY

Wise words, Darth Puppy, but some of the new cars do have personality. New Jaguars, new Lamborghinis . . . But yeah. There's nothing like a classic. Especially one that's been well kept. :)
darth puppy
ESPEIALLY one that has the words DATSUN stamped all over it!

Now, why on earth would I want to stamp "DATSUN" all over my beautiful `68 Corvette Roadster?? >=9

I wouldn't do that to a `68 Corvette Roadster, either. :(
