About a week ago a couple old ladies came knocking on my door and started talking to me about how satan was infiltrating the media with like rock and roll and violent movies and that's what's causing all the violence and sex crimes in the world. Then they tried telling me I was being snagged by satan cause I listened to rock and heavey metal. I was toying with the idea of just slamming the door in their faces, but that wouldn't have been nice... They probably would've gotten all their friends together to have a witch burning or something....:(

If they ask you if you've seen the light tell "Yeah, Bud Light". Thank you Ruw. Could be worse though, I was dicussing art school with a religious fanatic and he told me that god would show me the way and that there was nothing more satisfying than painting religious images, U had to remind him that the Byzantine period almost wasn't because the church dosen't approve of false images, fun to see him shrugged that one off. All I asked of him was what he thought of Seattle Art InstitIte.

Soli> If I "fell in love" with someone? Hmmm...I'll try to be careful here...lesse, I dont believe that there is such a thing as "falling in love". Thats how you would describe seeing a person, and you really like what you see, maybe talking to them and finding out that they are a wonderful person, and conclude that you have fallen in love with them. Okay, I see that as sortof falling in love with love. You dont really know that person very well, maybe it could be described as "puppy love". If I ever find myself in that sort of a situation, I will certainly be very disappointed with myself. I am looking for a long term friendship that will eventually turn into a loving relationship and then go on to marrage. If the friendship does not go that direction, then that would be fine. But to start out as "lovers" would not be a mature choice, as you get to know the other person better they may not be what you expected and hoped for, concluding in your being disappointed with that person, falling "out" of love, a broken relationship, a broken heart on the other persons part, not a pretty picture. Rue> If I recall corectly, you said that I was "missing out on alot of people". Not so. I said that I have no problem becoming friend with people no matter what culture/religion they are of. But THE ONE that I will eventually MARRY, must be a Christian. Not just on the outside, not just a person who goes to church and says, "Yes, I am a Christian" but someone who lives out the Christian life every day. Someone with hight standards to match mind. >:}

You are still missing out on the rest of the world, and I still feel very sorry for you about that. (I'm not saying this to be mean, but--) I really wish that you would open up your eyes and really see the world we live in. It would be nice to live in the kind of would you see, but it is just too far from reality.
#171910 52 Fri Oct 14 16:52:28 1994 Alinea [3is pronounced Puddle] @ Black Mountain, Kendall, US/WA/Whatcom
Rue> Perhaps it's the other way around. (I'm not saying that it is) I certainly do not think that I am missing out on anything worth having. And I certainly dont think that the way I see things is far from reality either. I'm a bit curious how you got that I'm "missing out on the rest of the world" by my stating what sort of a guy I'm interested in. Dont you think that it makes sense to have a strict criteria on the guy who you would possibly have to spend the rest of you life with? I hope you understand that I am not limiting my friends or guy friends to that! It's just that ONE person.
#171908 52 Fri Oct 14 18:59:01 1994 [Careful! This] elf [bites!] @ Line NoiZe, Ferndale, U.S.A.
The big reson I don't believe in god Puddle, is because most Christians are hypocrates and force their beliefs on other and when you reufse to accept the fantasy, they call you stupid and begin to mock you, just like a high priest eh? Out of all my friends the "christians" are the most "loose", and low moraled I have two friends who are "whitches" they treat me and others better than some christains treat each other. And for your info myslef and those two witches are very intelligent, well read, honest, straight, people. We have higher living standards than half of the kids I went to0 a youth group with, we'd go home home and read a book, have coffee and talk intelligently with one another, some of those christians went out a screwed each other in the church parking lot, I'm not kidding either.
#171909 52 Fri Oct 14 19:35:26 1994 Solitaire @ Line NoiZe, Ferndale, U.S.A.
Religious fanatics (mostly jahova's witnesses and christians) are the ones that come to your house and interupt your up until then perfectly wonderful evening and try to tell you that you're satanic and if you don't convert immediately then you'll most assuredly go to hell... I personally don't enjoy that much, I'd rather just sit on my couch, eat dinner, and watch T.V., or read a good book. Also, a lot of christians I've seen, as elf said too, were extreme hypocrites, not saying that you are though. The reason I don't believe in god is because I've done a little bit of research and found that I can prove a lot of things in the bible wrong... Of course if you try and explain it to an avid christian, they'll deny it and say "You're wrong, because the bible is the word of the lord, therefor everything there is true", even though scientific proof may disintigrate the possibility...

Soli> About your question about Adam and Eve and incest: I asked my Mom if she knew anything about that, and she said that Adam and Eve were created perfect, without genetic flaws and with a total spectrem of genetic characteristics, contrairy to what evolutionists would have us believe, we have only "devolved" since then. Well, I know that isn't a very exact answer or anything...I really dont know much about that. I'm sorry, I didn't mean you weren't "good enough" for me, my standerds really dont have anything to do directly with morals, I guess the point is that I want only someone who serves God as I do to share my life with.

I'm not going to make my fingers sore trying to get it through to you that heck, maybe the person you are to marry later on isn't a Christian.
