Against the proposed challengers? Or your Suburban, Holy Diver? >=9
Holy Diver
Or even my pickup. Het didja get your brakes bled, Lady ? I'm available, but the price is high !

Brakes have been done, but I wonder as to the quality of the job. I mean, after being soaked for $300-plus, the car can still be driven with the parking brake on?!?! Well, I did avoid hitting a friend's kid, but I was going slow anyway, and had good reflexes. I like the drum brake job, but I'd like to have the e-brake looked at again, and there are other engine things I'd like to troubleshoot. Hmmm: Maybe the next Sideband Party theme will be car restoration? >=9
I'll serve the dinner!!! :)

My brakes cost like 400 bucks they had to be totally redone which sucks case my pop like ran them all the way down into the metal before he junked el datsun.

Sorry to hear that. Well, I'm being encouraged by friends to bring the car back to the place, showing them the guarantee, and explaining that the car can be driven with the e-brake on, and asking them to fix it so that it can't. After all, >they< >>guaranteed<< it!!! >=9
Is that a Datsun that you no longer have, Darth Puppy, or is that the one that you currently have? The one in your reference. :)
ZooKeeper

darth puppy
That is the datsun which is currently and has always been the subject of my automotive afffections, hehe.

Ugh!!! Now I have oil gasket pan problems, oil filter problems, things that I need fixed that I don't know how to fix, and that damned helpless feeling that people are trying to take advantage of me once they figure that I don't know what I'm talking about. Hey, >I< may not know, but this guy here with me does, pal!!! >=9 Anyway, I'm dropping oil faster than is healthy for any car, and it needs immediate attention. Also AT fluid, PS fluid, antifreeze real soon, etc, etc . . . I'm not afraid of the car care, I'm afraid of the costs exceeding my budget. And wouldn't ya know: on my shopping excursion, I park next to this drop-dead gorgeous `63 Impala, making mine look even sicker than it is. :(
After all that, I want wheel covers, shocks, tires, seat covers, my stereo fixed and installed, my cigarette lighter fixed, in case the radio breaks down, etc, etc . . . >=9
But hey: the faithful beast is limping on dry reservoirs, holding its own "bleeding sides" leaks, but still moving forward. I love Chevys. >=9
