That's what happens when they opened up the no code license. I don't have my Ham ticket yet becuase I am still learning code, but I feel that if you're going to do it might as well do it the whole way. All of my Ham friends really look down on the no coders...Anyone know of a decent Morse code tutor program???
Counselor
Megamol, I have a pretty good shareware one here.
Lady Godiva
Super Morse is pretty good.

Uncle Herb, is that the name of a Morse code tutor program or are you being silly again???

I have a 2 meter that I bought to use in my activities with the Civil Air Patrol. I'd like to learn more about getting licensed to use other frequencies as well, but come from a rather ignorant angle right now. Any input on what direction I should go?

A good start, Diakonos, would be to get in contact with the Mount Baker Ameteur Radio Club, based in Bellingham. Jim Grinton, K7VNI, would be a good person to talk to (I think he's a member, but...) He's in the book.
Diakonos
Ummmmm, not that I know of, Blain. There is a Doug Jones, but not Smith, at least not that I have met.
Blain Nelson
Maybe it was Doug Jones. One of those common names. He was running the show back when I was doing space stuff.
And then there's Georgia Franklin.
Diakonos
That was probably Doug. He is now down at Wing. His wife is the unit commander.
Blain Nelson
Wow. I hope to get back to space things someday, and I'll be sure to look him up when I do. He was good folks.
Diakonos
Welp, they (we) still meet on Tuesdays at 7:00 down at the Reserve Center on Roeder Ave.
