Minnesota= 120s in the summer, all summer long. then -36 (without wind chill) in the winters. I remember when we had a 5 foot blizzard. any of you guys ever had five feet of snow packed against your door? drifts of up to 7 feet. people sking down the street to work in 20 below. then people dieing from heat exsation in the summer. Real men come from the midwest, AND THEY LIKE IT!

#1251 50 Mon Jul 22 21:56:31 1991 [The Author] Lightning [and Scholar...]
Yeah... I remember -30's temp during December in Chicago (actually, Downers Grove). I also remember the thunderstorms that used to blow our power out for days... I used to hate thunderstorms, but now I LOVE them (as my name would imply). I wish we had more t-storms here, and honestly, I miss the flippin' place (Chicago, that is...). I miss the city, I miss the small towns (like Naperville, and Lisle, And Downers Grove, too, although it's bigger than Olympia, now, and Berwyn, and Riverside (where I still have family)), and I miss the Cubs. One of my high school friends was drafted by the Bears, so I ought to fly in there for a weekend to watch him play... I DO miss it... I don't know why...

I miss my friend, we grew up togather, damn I think about them still all the time. I remember when it rained it would come down sudden and really hard, then be gone in about 1-2 hours. thunder, lightning, tornados, yeah.

Florida's the same way... It's warm and sunny (and HUMID) all day until about 3:30pm. Then a thunderstorm comes by for about an hour. It's so regular, you could set your watch by it... My mom's down there right now... I wish I could be there, but I have football committments... I'd rather be in Florida...

You guys think it rains a lot here, try going 40 miles west. It rains a lot more, snows less and never gets as warm. The term "grays"harbor devenitly fits.

This is the Pacific Northwest, Isis. Its the Pacific Northwest all around. Have you lived anywhere else besides the Pacific Northwest? If not, then you defintly don't know much about climate, you can't read about it and really understand it. It was 94 degrees today, its much hotter and more humid in the midwest, this shouldn't be that bad, and it wasn't. But for people who have never lived anywhere else, it was traumatic. I almost puked the way somepeople talked.
#1373 50 Tue Jul 23 23:10:47 1991 [New!] Lightning [And Improved!]
It was 95ø in Florida today, with about 90% humidity (mom called...). You think it's hot here, try going to New York, where ther's little or no wind in the city... Talk about Hell...

I remember talking to people who, for god damn it all!, have enver left the US. or maybe have gone to canida, now those people are pretty sad.
#1458 50 Thu Jul 25 21:52:21 1991 Isis
Some of us can't afford to go to Europe. I would love to go, but not all of us can be rich.

Zied> I have never left the country before even though I have been on the border's several times with Canada, but I just don't have the way to go anywhere else, other than inner-US.

Okay, Isis, here are alll the places I've been: * means i lived there. ! means I've driven around and gone sight-seeing. Michigan, lower peninsula (tri-city area about 2H N of Detroit) Upper Michigan, ***I lived in tri=city, too) Ohio, cleveland suburb. On Lake Erie if ya don't know where Cleveland is/**Evansville, IN.** Let me put it this way. I've lived all those places and I have basically never been in a plane except once between uppe and lower MI so you can figure that everywhere inbetween I've traveled through and probably toured a little.
#1500 50 Fri Jul 26 11:51:18 1991 Isis
Thats cool...My travel has been limited to the west. I've been to Victoria (the city in B.C.) I went to the worlds fair in Canada and I've been to southern California twice. Once with the band. You were on a plane there, Stallion. They didn't find out about that...problem 'till you were back did they?
#1510 50 Fri Jul 26 12:24:49 1991 zied [JUST SAY NO TO NETTING!]
well I've been all over and don't really like to talk about it so I won't.
#1545 50 Fri Jul 26 17:50:17 1991 Isis
It's alot easier talking about where you've been, when you really haven't been anywhere.
#1558 50 Fri Jul 26 18:53:34 1991 [My moral standing] Shane [is twisted and warped]
I've been nowhere. nice place.
#1568 50 Fri Jul 26 20:05:05 1991 Isis
Really???? How do ya get there????
#1576 50 Fri Jul 26 20:38:01 1991 [I want to be a] zied [Piss-up when I get BIG!]

Isis. The "little problem" cost CHAMPS $300. I also wasn't allowed to go cause of my parental disagreements (I'm not allowed to disagree). They ha As a result of all this, I didn't go. But I almost packed my trumpet and was debating throwing in about $400 to Lundberg to get me on that plane where I would have flown to S Cal. I would not have been on the return flight, however.
#1599 50 Fri Jul 26 21:39:01 1991 [I'd be a whole lot smaller...] Lightning [...If I weren't so damn BIG!]
I've been alot o' places, and I've seen a lot of airports... I've flown about 180,000 miles... I like it here... I like it in Florida... I like Chicago... I like Dallas (My birthplace)... I LIKE THE BAHAMAS... Stallion, what suburb of Cleveland? I had family from East Canton up until a year or so ago...
#1621 50 Sat Jul 27 00:39:42 1991 [The L.A. Guns Fanatic] Italian Stallion
Canton was cool, man. I went to the Football Hall of Fame there. That was rad, except we found out like 20 min when we were out of the place that my dads good friend who lives there coulda got us in for free and we woulda had access to ecerything...man, we coulda played whichever old tape we wanted, had our own prvate theatre, too. Oh,well. Guess I'll probably never get back there...damn. OH, I lived in a fast growing suburb called SOLON. Its south of the city, my dad worked in, hmm..(long time)..Beachwood, just north of North Randall where one of the worlds largest mall's is. (Makes TacMall look like South Sound Mall.) Anyway, Solon had the Nestle HQ and a Stouffer's factory and lotsa other stuff it was growing out of control, they had just moved min. lot sizes up to 1 acre....

We're the united states marine corps We know you all've been killing each other for at least two thousand years. But we're here now, to protect the families of heroin warlords most friendly to the west. So you knock off the fighting, or we'll tell mom.
