They're too old damn it. Just 'cause Shatner can't find work is no reason the rest of the world should suffer. I would like to see a Next Gen. movie. But they should probably wait 'til the show is canceled.

Why the hell would they do that!>? Just cause the original didn't make it originally as a series doesn't mean they should wait! TNG is already a major TV series! You complain aobut old people on the Old Trek Movies its cause they didn't make a movie for so long!

A major incident that it would take to make a movie, would effect the series. Any new characters introduced would have to be mentioned in the series, or they would have to have a way out at the end. If there were two story lines going on, one in the series, one in the movie, it could get confusing.

naw the stories aren't effected by each other really and they don't need to be effected by the movie.

It would really screw things up if thay made a movie that didn't tie into the searies. thay should wate till it's canceled, or make shure it's tied in well with the searies.

the series doesn't really run in a chain like a soap opera, so I don't think a movie would do that much harm.

The emotional relationship between the characters is in a nautral progression though. What would take place in a 2hr movie would undoubtibly change the series. How often is it you have a movie where no one falls in love?????

ok, so run the season, then show a movie in the summer, during rerun season, then pick up where the movie left off. better incentive for people to watch the movie that way, too...

True, but then you have to write both the season it's going to be taped during, and the season after ahead of time. 'cause you can't tape and show a movie like that all during one summer.

That isn't really a problem for Hollywood, Isis. It just means the writers have to get busy, and its not going to call for drastic changes. (depending onthe movie.) But Remember Khan? He was introduced in the original series and later became the protaganist in the 2nd movie!
