#2394 55 Thu Dec 19 11:40:52 1991 [Everbody knows the] Blade Runner [dice are loaded, everbody...]
On an instructor's salary maybe, on an airline captains salary NEVER!! hehe
#2438 55 Fri Dec 20 10:19:14 1991 [Naturally speak...] Lightning [Please blonde slowly...]
I suppose it also depends on the line... Delta captians can make mega-bucks, but Continental captains, on the other hand...
#2453 55 Fri Dec 20 10:34:23 1991 [Everbody knows the] Blade Runner [dice are loaded, everbody...]
Still make good money, I know one...
#2464 55 Fri Dec 20 13:04:40 1991 [Naturally speak...] Lightning [Please blonde slowly...]
Really? I thought their pay scale was WAY lower...
#2488 55 Fri Dec 20 15:16:29 1991 [Everbody knows the] Blade Runner [dice are loaded, everbody...]
Well, obviously it depends on the success of the particular airline. Delta is doing MUCH better the Continental, so the pay would be different. There are also alot of people out there right now, they are willing to work for less. Captains still typically get no less than around 70k, and that's a minimum. I don't consider that too bad, regardless if someone else is getting a bit more or so. It also depends on seniority, so that depends on how many newer pilots you have and how many young captains... everything is relative but I haven't heard of one airline being too different from another in the area of captains salaries. Now, first officer and second officer(if they have any planes with them) can vary quite alot from what I've heard, sometimes starting out at as little as 26k for a major airline...
#2569 55 Fri Dec 20 22:39:35 1991 [Naturally speak...] Lightning [Please blonde slowly...]
Ouch... That's almost like a teacher's salary... And everyone thinks airline pilots make mega-cash...
#2600 55 Sat Dec 21 08:00:16 1991 [Everbody knows the] Blade Runner [dice are loaded, everbody...]
I know.... actually they do, but not until a few years of seniority. I've heard that salaries can double though in the first three years, not bad!!
#2676 55 Sat Dec 21 15:08:51 1991 [Naturally speak...] Lightning [Please blonde slowly...]
Not bad at all...
#2731 55 Sat Dec 21 22:23:33 1991 [Everbody knows the] Blade Runner [dice are loaded, everbody...]
I can't wait.. hehe :)
#2778 55 Sat Dec 21 23:59:18 1991 Spur [burn BM productions]
all i gotta do now is figure out how to afford college without getting a job...
#2846 55 Sun Dec 22 11:03:29 1991 [Naturally speak...] Lightning [Please blonde slowly...]
Uh, well, hmmmm... You could do well in school and get an academic scholarship... Or, you could lie on your financial aid... OR, heck, you could just have your parents pay for it...
#2907 55 Sun Dec 22 14:24:36 1991 Spur [burn BM productions]
i like that last one. how do you apply?
#3067 55 Sun Dec 22 21:29:56 1991 [Naturally speak...] Lightning [Please blonde slowly...]
You mean for the Parental Aid Package? First, get a FAF form... Fill it out correctly, and receive notice that you aren't eligible to get ANY money... Then you rant and rave at your parents about how you won't be able to get into college unless THEY pay... The field you intend to study has a high number of lab hours needed, and so you don't have TIME to get a job... Therefore, you really need their financial help, or else you'll end up on the street... That's all you need...
#3111 55 Sun Dec 22 23:55:11 1991 [Ob-la-di ob-la-da] Roya [life goes on...]

#1016 54 Tue Jan 7 18:17:27 1992 Blade Runner
unless it's what you want...
#1048 54 Tue Jan 7 19:17:47 1992 [More loose screws] Scorpion [than a hardware store]
Money is the best gift (for me atleast). Almost everything I want is $50+ and that's too much for just a present from someone (immediate family excluded). Gift certificatres are better, because instead of a few little things you only kinda wanted, you can get one big thing you really want. It is depressing just having a pile of envelopes though.
#1079 54 Tue Jan 7 20:03:12 1992 Isis
I like getting money from family, but from anyone else, I find it insulting...I'd rather receive a well thought out CARD for B-day or x-mas, that wasn't just a joke or something, than money. Planned gifts are nice too, I got some really nice things from my friends for my birthday this last year...it hurt when 3 close friends went together and bought a card and each put a 5 dollar bill in it...I would have prefered no gift and a card from each of them, that had meaning. But I have to realize guys don't think like girls do, and that wouldn't have occured to them.
#1090 54 Tue Jan 7 20:32:05 1992 [wank wank.] Spur [how do you feel about that?]

#1426 54 Thu Jan 9 21:09:55 1992 [Fuck the stupid ref] Scorpion [That made me cut my hair]
Guys are alittle harder to shop for though, hte expression "the bigger the boys, the more exspensive their toys" is very true. I like giving homemade gifts, it lets me show off my cooking skills (no one's died, YET). I usually don't exchange gifts with my friends.
#1427 54 Thu Jan 9 21:12:11 1992 [Fuck the stupid ref] Scorpion [That made me cut my hair]
While we're on the subject of gifts, this was the second year in a row that I haven't gotten anything in th band gift exchange. It's just frustrating when you go through the trouble of getting something and then you get forgotten. Next year, Lundberg should have people who want to participate put their names in the hat, it might cut down on people who don't get anything.
#1486 54 Fri Jan 10 10:30:18 1992 [GEIL] TUNA [AND PROUD OF IT, WICHSER!]
Scorpion> Get used to it. I didn ooops I didn't get anything my freshman and sophomore years in both: band exchange and German exchange. Finally, though, this year, I did get stuff in both.
#1487 54 Fri Jan 10 10:31:14 1992 [GEIL] TUNA [AND PROUD OF IT, WICHSER!]
I like getting homemade gifts, and I do wish that I had something like a cooking talent so that I could make them, too>
#1544 54 Fri Jan 10 23:17:29 1992 Italian Stallion
I've never not gotten someone something. (Though this year's was pretty cheap) and I've never been forgotten. I usually don't care if I get something unless I'm hungry (whichi this year I was) cause its usually food, unless someone cool who yer friends with (or they want to be your girlfreind/guyfriend) gets you.
