Alice Antonsen Hunt Dodd

Age 95, passed away quietly at home on March 13, 2014. She was born in Morningside, South Dakota to Ella Haugen Antonsen and Paul Martin Antonsen on July 28, 1918. She grew up in Geddes, South Dakota, graduating from Geddes High School and then moving to Riverside, CA. After graduating from Riverside City College with an AA degree in 1938 she went to work as a dental assistant. She married William Hunt in 1940 and had two children, Dianne and James. Alice and Bill moved to San Bernardino in 1946. While raising two children Alice worked at several cafes and retired as the restaurant manager for Del Rosa Bowling Alley after 25 years service. Alice became a widow in 1991 and married Bert Dodd in 2000. Alice became a widow again, but continued to live a full and happy life. She was a person with many talents such as hand work, crafts, gardening and being a great friend to many. She was a very social person with a wonderful sense of humor.Alice was a volunteer of the year for the City of San Bernardino at Perris Hill Senior Center. Also, she loved to bowl at Del Rosa Bowl and bowled in two senior leagues receiving many trophies and awards.

Alice is survived by her daughter Dianne Creech (Jim). She is also survived by brother Dean Antonsen (Mary), sister Annette Hysell (Bob), sister-in-law Ila Vae Antonsen, sister-in-law Dorothy Antonsen, grandsons Andrew Creech, Erik Hunt and Steven Hunt and one great-grandson. She is preceded in death by son James.
